Matthew Sapowith is the founder of Sapowith Tax Advisory and a seasoned tax advisor with deep experience across M&A, international, and partnership taxation.
Over his career, he’s advised companies ranging from early-stage startups to global enterprises—helping clients navigate transactions, overcome tax controversy, and approach complicated cross-border tax issues.
Before founding Sapowith Tax Advisory, Matthew held roles at several top accounting firms, where he worked closely with founders, family offices, and corporate leaders to solve specialty tax issues. Most recently, he was a Partner and Specialty Tax Leader at MGO, a top 50 CPA firm.
Matthew combines his rigorous technical knowledge with a practical, responsive mindset that clients trust.
